I have grown several avocado trees from pits. I only have about 50% luck with it since I usually forget about them and don’t change the water or else I damage the pit with the toothpicks. The AvoSeedo eliminates those problems. You don’t have to worry about using toothpicks. It is extremely easy and comes with full instructions.
How It Works:
1. Get an avocado, cut it open and remove the pit
2. Peel away the thin skin from the avocado pit
3. Put the pit flat part down into the AvoSeedo tray
4. Place the AvoSeedo tray with avocado pit into a bowl of water
5. Change the water every two to three weeks
6.The seed will sprout and a tiny avocado tree will grow after one to three months
7. Transfer the budding tree into a pot
8. Reuse the AvoSeedo to grow more avocados

When I was offered to receive a mat for review, I said yes because I can always use another mat. I was expecting the usual store-bought mats that you get at the big box stores. When the package came which was lightning fast, I was amazingly surprised. This is a very high-quality mat! It is advertised as a welcome mat, but since it is so large, beautiful and cushiony, I will be using it in my kitchen in front of the stove to stand on. It has vibrant colors and a rubber backing for no slippage.
There are 18 mats to choose from. I choose the snowmen because Winter is coming up.
This year’s collection taps new talent
The 2017 pink ribbon mat collection features 18 designs, (http://bit.ly/2vxB0Zu) including interior design experts Melissa Davis and Lisa Mende, who pull from their personal experience to create dramatic, impactful mats that fit any home decor. In addition, graphic design artist Justin Niederkorn, a senior designer for an international non-profit agency, tapped his artistic talent and love for the women in his life, to create a mat that graphically tells the important story of a breast exam. Mikayla Chandler, a Savannah College of Art & Design advertising and illustration sophomore, created a powerful image of lines that seem almost inter-connected, and resemble the shape of a breast, swoop of a cup and wisps of hair. The two graphic designers have created edgy and thought-provoking artwork that add to the fashionable and functional collection.
Mats will be available in participating Carpet One Floor & Home stores throughout the U.S. and Canada beginning in October.

When does a home change from “new” to “lived in” to downright shabby? Over time, even the most beautiful home will be in need of an upgrade. Whether a home renovation involves repainting walls or replacing floors and installing a gourmet kitchen, master bedroom and spa, the fact is that a home remodel will involve time, money and planning in order to be successful.
Many homeowners get solid ideas for their remodel by reviewing the photos in home interior design magazines and websites. This can be a smart way to start looking at how color schemes look in a home, and to see what other approaches homeowners have used. Once the plan ideas have started to solidify, it’s smart to start searching for an experienced general contractor to oversee the job.
Finding a Contractor
Contractor leads can be found by looking in the listings in contractor websites. There are some quality sites out there now that offer information on local contractors, with referrals and samples of past work. This can be a very valuable source of information, and offers a way to quickly find the right choice for the job.
Once the right contractor has been found, the homeowner can schedule a free phone consultation and review their renovation ideas. From there, an agreement can be drawn up and the real planning can begin.
An experienced contractor can draw up plans for the overall remodel, and go over ideas with the client while still in the planning phase. They can make suggestions for materials and discuss the practicality of certain ideas. All of this should be discussed at length while the project is being planned, before any money is spent on supplies or on workers. Changing the plans after the work has begun should be avoided at all costs.
Dealing With Costs
Of course taking on a home renovation will involve costs, which is why planning carefully is so important. Many homeowners take out a home equity loan to pay for their remodel, and if a loan can be attained at a low interest rate, this can be a wise approach. Ultimately, if a remodel is done successfully, it can definitely add to the market value of a home, as well as to the enjoyment of it.
So, is remodeling your home the right choice? If so, start checking the online contractor listings sites, and start planning today.
